Executing the Import/Export Wizard within a package.

Following the same steps to create a package in the Table to text file article, I begin with an SSIS Project and a starting package.

Instead of using the default package, I’ll delete it and select to create a new package using the Import/Export Wizard.

After configuring the data source to the the (local) AW db, for the destination, I’ll choose a flat file and indicate its location.
For the file’s source, I’ll select a view and use “Preview” to review a subset of the expected data.
Next, I rename my newly created package to reflect its purpose. Also, I have a ready-to-use Data Flow Task.

Now, I’ll execute my package; here’s my new list of Sales people.
